Honor Roll

Aiden made the Principal's Honor Roll for getting all A's again 3rd quarter!

The number of kids at this level gets smaller and smaller every quarter.  We sure are proud of you Aiden!
NJHS

Aiden has been in the National Junior Honor Society this year and was recognized for serving on the executive board and for his community service hours.  This week he got to participate in the induction of new students for next year.

Trying really hard to look unenthused!

Toppers

Jeremy left early Friday morning to drive to Germany for the Toppers Award Ceremony for Soldier's Theater.  Sometimes I think he's only in shows at the theater so he can go to this event.  It's really a big deal and he has a lot of fun with his fellow thespians!
6 of them piled into our van for the 10 hour drive.  At first it was all smiles.....
... and then...  our van got a flat tire!  They had to switch it out for the spare on the autobahn.

Meanwhile... I was enjoying chocolate chip pancakes made by this little sweetie while enjoying an absolutely beautiful morning on the terrace.
Game #2

This weekend we played Aviano in Vicenza

Warming up

Hard game!  I didn't get ANY pictures during the entire game.  I was so  into watching them play.  2 of the pitchers were injured so it was rough.
But, Aiden got some GREAT hits, plays, and runs in so he was happy!
Villa Sceriman

This time of year the wisteria is is everywhere but I have never seen so much all in one place.  It was beautiful!
It's really so sad that it will only last a few weeks.

You could tell by the size of these branches that some of these trees were really old!

Absolutely love these dear friends!

This sweet dog pushed his body up agains the fence so the girls could pet it
Love the little one twirling in front of the girls as they posed for pictures

They had to do it! lol!
These two thought they were so fancy!
We stopped at a little park on our way to the car and these girls had the ride of their lives!

Toppers Cont...

So, what was Jeremy doing while we were frolicking in the wisteria???

...WINNING!!!!  He won his first Topper award!  Best Supporting Actor!

Overall, Vicenza did very well winning 5 awards in all!  AMAZING!!!
I love the directors smile in this picture!

Jeremy ended up having to take the train home from Germany and leaving our van there.
Not sure when we'll ever see her again.... :(

Signs of Spring!!

This beautiful tree blossoms for less than a week every year.  This was the week!
What you can't see in this picture is the orchestra of sounds coming from all the various birds, bugs, and critters.  If you close your eyes you would insist you were deep in a jungle somewhere.  It's incredible how loud it is!  It also wakes us up around 6am every morning - which I love.  Jeremy hates it....

Another favorite this week was the produce truck by our house returned!
Honor Roll
So proud of Whitney!  She barely missed the honor roll during 1st and 2nd quarters this year.
She really wanted to make it 3rd quarter and worked hard and DID IT!!!

Good Job Whitney!!  We are so proud of you!
 Gymnastics

Whitney told me this week: "Mommy, don't sign me up for anything else ever again except gymnastics.  I don't want to do soccer, basketball, baseball, track, swimming, or anything else but gymnastics."  Hmmm.... I think she likes gymnastics!

Temple Trip

Connor went to Bern, Switzerland for the Stake temple trip this weekend.  They drive about 5-6 hours the night before and stay in a hostel and then go to the temple early the next morning.  The kids didn't have school on Friday so he was gone all day Friday and Saturday.

His roomies! :)

 Baseball

Aiden had his first baseball game this weekend in Aviano.  Aiden played 1st base and did awesome!!

Stealing 3rd

Post game lunch.  They have a great team this year.  Excited for the season!

Jeremy and I got to finish the week off by subbing in nursery this week.  So fun and the kids LOVE Jeremy!!
