This week.....

I got sworn in as an official Federal Government employee.
This is a terrible picture but I'm glad Jeremy was there to capture this unexpected moment.
I had no idea I would be doing this!
Football Tryouts

Connor worked his butt off this week!
He did conditioning from 8-10am every morning and then tryouts from 3-6pm every afternoon (in almost 100 degrees!)

Sneak Peek

My last elementary school child got to find out who her teacher is and see her classroom and friends!
We were soooooo excited that she got the teacher she wanted!!

Whitney had her annual back to school sleep over after the sneak peek but they were so busy during the sleepover that they didn't do everything on their list.  Sooo... we had about 1 hour after they woke up to quickly make chocolate dipped strawberries and cake pops!  Tied Dyed t-shirts will have to wait for next time!!
 AND.....

They made the team!!!!  YAY!!!!

Great boys! Can't wait for the football season this year!!

 Football

We had a couple days to recover from jet lag before Aiden's last regular game of the season.
He was so happy that we made it back in time to play in one more game!

His team won so it looks like he'll play in one more game... the championship!

Good job guys!!
Dessert Fest

Whitney's summer camp ended this week with a dessert fest and presentation for the families.

They decorated the building to look like Candy Land.  It was really cute!

We watched a really fun slide show of the whole summer while we waited for the kids to come in.
Lots of cute little songs

A funny skit

We all got to get into the goodbye circle and they sang the song they sing every day at the end of the day with sign language

Whitney was definitely closest with Ms. Sam!

After desserts we walked around to look at all the art work they did over the summer.
This one especially caught my eye....  lol!
It's been a good summer!

Championship Game

Aiden was so happy to play in the championship game!!

Team warm up exercises

The kids dog piled coach after we won!!

Then they chased him down the field with a cooler full of water

They finally caught him!

Pizza party!

Awards

Good job Falcons!!

Coach ordered this cake before we even won!!  That's some confidence!

All the boys were still friends afterwards!

Meanwhile at football camp....

We were so happy to finally get Connor back this week!
Here are some pics of his fun week at football camp...

The bus broke down on the way home and the boys were stranded in a small town in Germany for 12 hours!!!

They were all smiles when they finally got on a new bus and started heading home!

The week ended with everyone FINALLY back together again!
Now... to get ready for school to start!

Last week in the USA

Our time here has flown by!!  However, I will go home knowing that we made the most of every minute here and were able to see and do more than I even thought we would!

I walked down to my old high school on my last morning here

We spent our last day in Idaho at the lake

That night we got to help Cami load 3 storage units into a moving truck.  They are moving to Houston in 3 days!

After loading the truck, Livia drove the boys to get milkshakes.
Watching my kids ride in a car with other kids is something I'm so glad I don't have to get used to while we live in Italy!!

Saying good bye :(

One last meal on the way to the airport

Connor got to have Buffalo Wild Wings twice during this trip!!

Even though we were stuffed... we couldn't leave without one more DQ treat!

We didn't even know we were matching!

Off again.....
We got into KC at midnight and didn't get into our room until 1am.  Aiden was throwing up from 2-4am and then Whitney woke up at 6am and started throwing up.  I got 2 hours of sleep and had to travel with all 3 kids - 2 that are throwing up- by myself.  It's gonna be a loooooong couple of days!

Our prayers were answered and by the time we got on our plane in KC to go to New York all the kids stopped throwing up.  Their stomachs were still hurting but no one threw up on the plane.  We were all so excited for our 6 hour layover in NYC!

Jeremy surprised the kids with an 8-passenger stretch limousine to tour NYC and transport us from one airport to the other.  The kids were so surprised and excited even though you could barely tell because they were so tired and still recovering from feeling sick.

Whitney immediately got her notebook out and said "I have to write this down!"

relaxing on our way to Time Square

As exciting as it was the kids only wanted to sleep

Interesting people watching from the limo

Not pictured was a guy walking down the sidewalk with a permanent middle finger pointed at everyone he passed

All the kids wanted New York pizza

Getting back in the limo.  Our driver looked and talked just like Rocky Balboa!

Just eating hot New York pizza in the back of a limo cruising around downtown NYC.  So awesome!!!

Some guy walked by our limo and stuck his gum on our window!!!

On our way to the airport, playing some Mancala

I almost felt bad that Jeremy was missing the limo ride until he sent me this picture!
He got to go out on the Potomac River in this boat

Our 8th flight in 3 weeks!  Next stop: Venice
Waiting at the airport for our shuttle to pick us up.  Kids don't even care anymore... they could sleep anywhere!

My suitcase was safely waiting for me!

Reunited with Jeremy/Kayla
Jeremy got home a couple of days after us and Kayla got home the next day.  She got to stay out in the country on a beautiful Italian vineyard with her best friend, Toby.  I'm guessing if she had a choice she would not have come back at all!  Lucky for us she didn't have a choice because we all missed her so much!!

Football Camp
With jet lag and all Connor got on a bus at 2am to go to football camp in Germany.  Next week is going to be a rough week for him but I hope he has fun!!

Be safe!!!
