Father's Day

There's nothing more attractive than a Great Dad! When I see Jeremy playing with his boys or gushing over his little girl my heart melts. The kids love him so much and I love him for being the best father for our children that I could have asked for.

Fathers Day weekend was a blast. Friday night we got a sitter and Jeremy and I went out on the town. He was all decked out and looked HOT! :)

Saturday we spent the day at the pool then got some dinner and went to the park for a picnic.

Sunday morning, after Jeremy got some well-deserved sleep, we had waffles (by request) and opened presents.
I got Jeremy a new Swiss Army Watch (he's already returned it). He lost his watch and the model has been discontinued. I bought one that I thought was similar but not close enough. He had the same face as the one with the brown band but replaced it with a rubber, black band. So I thought he would love the one I picked out. (Not!)
After church we headed over to Jeremy's Uncle Dick and Aunt Barb's house for a great Father's Day dinner! (I didn't even have to cook).

Jeremy, I hope you know how much we appreciate everything that you do for us EVERYDAY!

Baby Shiloh?

Today a lady asked me if people are always telling me that Whitney looks just like Shiloh? At first I was like "Who is Shiloh?" Then I realized she was talking about Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. What do you think?

First Steps

Whitney is officially walking!!! (kind-of)

Walk of Shame

Connor has discovered what diving boards are all about this summer at our city pool. He was really scared the first few times but now LOVES going off the low dive.

However.....

The high-dive is a whole other story.

Yesterday he was soooo close. He had about 10-12 kids cheering him on. Everyone knew his name and was encouraging him to jump. After about a half hour he had to do the walk of shame.

Poor Connor! He was so disappointed in himself for not jumping.

Open For Business

The boys are obsessed with the Rocket Fishing Rod that is on the commercials on TV. They have been begging for one for a while. I told them they had to earn $10 a piece first and then we would give them the other $10 to buy it.

So, then the next question... "How can we earn $10?" They've been doing chores around the house but decided that was taking too long to save up the money.

They got it in their heads to sell food in front of our house. Connor wanted to sell some watermelon we already had and Aiden wanted to sell their candy they got from a birthday party yesterday.

The neighbor kids saw us out there and wanted to get in on the fun. They decided to sell Kool-aid right next to us. Nick went down to the curb with a sign to try and drive business up our street.

(Connor and Aiden made $1.75 each!)

"I have to tell you a secret"

About 500 times a day Aiden will yank on my arm and say "Mommy, I have to tell you a secret". Then he will ask "Do you want me to be ___________?" He will say a different animal each time. His favorites are: brown bunny, weiner dog or any dog named 'puppers', 'window', or 'pamingo', dolphin, colorful parrot, donkey, deer, frog, cheetah, chicken, and horse. After I tell him that I DO want him to be whatever animal, he then hits the back of his wrist and makes a noise that sounds like "chi-chick". This is the sound of him dialing that animal into his "animal watch" and then he immediately gets into character. It's so cute!

Confusion

Work and Play

Saturday was a busy day!

It started off with Connor's last soccor game.
I think he really enjoyed playing soccor and really started to understand the game.

Then we rushed off to go to Aiden's first T-ball game. He's still in the learning phase. He seemed a little bored out there.

After being in the heat all day the kids earned a well-deserved break at the Prairie Village Pool!
