Team Party

Aiden's baseball team had their team party this week to celebrate a great season.

Coach always joked with Aiden about his perfectly manicured hair.  After he gave Aiden his medal he had to fix Aiden's hair back. lol!

Whitney got a medal for being the team's favorite fan

And then Whitney gave coach a medal for being a good coach!

This was only about half the team - everyone else already left for summer vacations
First week of summer

School's out... now what??

This was actually a super busy week!

Aiden did a tennis clinic all week long in addition to getting 2 regular summer lawn mowing jobs

Connor took an intense lifeguard certification course with American Red Cross this week which ended with 7 hours of testing on Friday.  HE PASSED!!!!!
He also started his summer job this week working as a Recreational Aide on post.

Sweet WhitBit got to be in a week long theater camp taught by exclusive West End Performers!
Coincidentally, helping with this camp was Connor's job for the week.
Hairspray

Amazingly, these kids put together a magnificent musical in only one week and then performed on Saturday.  Whitney was Motor-Mouth Mabel in the musical, Hairspray.

The dancing and songs were OUTSTANDING!!

Good Job WHITNEY!!!!

Junior Baseball European Tournament

Aiden's team won 1 but lost the next 2 ending their run in the tournament.

I really wish I could have been there to watch them play but so glad they had a good trip!
Lerino Sagra

It is time for the annual sagra in Lerino this week!  Always an interesting time.

The same sagra fare we eat every year

Also, the same mass confusion and inefficiencies of finding a table and getting food, as if noone learned a thing from the last 5,000 sagras! Allora!!
Jeremy loves all the attention he gets from the Italians when he's out with Kayla.  You would think she was a unicorn the way they carry on about her!

Whitney won herself this hat! :)
Oops!  Didn't realize her eyes were closed.... I was too busy drooling over her Frittella!

Our entertainment for the night were the same ladies and gentlemen dancing until the sun went down.  Some things never change..... and that's not a bad thing.
President's Award

Aiden finished middle school strong!    He was awarded the President's award for academic excellence this week for maintaining a 4.0 all through middle school, performance on standard tests, and teacher recommendations.

He was one of the few who earned this award and was also in NJHS

The first thing Aiden asked is how much Donald Trump's signature was worth. lol!

Last day of Elementary

Whitney is officially graduated from elementary!  I no longer have any children in elementary school.... that just sounds weird!

This has been a big year for Whitney.  She has really grown - in every way!

On to middle school next year with all of these girls!

Connor celebrated the last day of school by playing paintball with some friends and Italians from church.
And then we ALL celebrated by watching Incredibles 2 with a theater full of our friends!

Summer break has officially started!

Father's Day 2018

Jeremy is a wonderful father.  I'm so grateful that my kids have a father who is totally devoted to them.  They are his number one priority and every decision he makes it is with them in mind.  The kids don't know how lucky they are - they just know that everything is more fun with him around.

Breakfast in bed served by this cutie pie!

Happy Father's Day Dabbos!!

Entrepreneuer

Whitney has had a big writing assignment the past couple of months that she has really enjoyed doing.  She enjoyed her story so much she thought everyone else would too.  So, I found her after school at her little store that she made up.  Selling copies of her story for $5.99.  Then I saw a little kindergartner who gave Whitney $1.00 trying to read it (I don't think she knew how to read too well though). :)

European Junior Baseball Tournament

Aiden went to Euros in Stuttgart again this year but this time I didn't go with them.

It's always hard to put my kids on a bus and send them off to another country for a few days.
Birthday and Going Away Parties

Friday night Connor hung out with his friends at one of their Sweet 16 b-day parties and then said good bye to his best friend over the past 3 years.

So grateful for the great friends my kids have made here!

I know it's awkward but they'll thank me later for taking one last picture.... I hope!
 Birthday Sleepover

Whitney had the "best weekend ever" at her friend's birthday party/sleepover/pool party the next day!  The bonus too is that the birthday girl's dad is also Whitney's teacher who Whitney absolutely adores!  He has been such a blessing for Whitney this past year and is pretty much just a big kid himself so he made the party extra fun !

Garrison Ball 2018

So... since all the kids were at parties or games this weekend.  Jeremy and I decided to go to the Ball!  This was actually the first time we were invited to a Ball so it was pretty exciting!  It was definitely very Cinderella-like.

We actually got to have our Ball inside this Castle in Verona!

It was a wonderful night!  Kind of like Prom, but classier. :)
