August 2014

August started out with a work trip to The American Association of Diabetes Educators annual meeting.  I was so excited for this trip and loved all the classes, presentations, etc...

The pool at my hotel that I, sadly, never had time to use... it made me miss my kiddos :(
We got to go to Universal Studios to watch the Blue Man Group perform

One of my favorite events was the cooking demo with Sam Talbot
As soon as I got back from Orlando we were in full on getting ready for school mode

Absolute must: back to school manicures for Connor and his friend
 First day of school

2nd, 5th, and 7th Grades (Whitney didn't feel good)

Whitney's new teacher and her very best friend!

Such a fun, cute class!
Cook Family Reunion

This was also a belated 40th Anniversary celebration for my Mom and Dad

Anna's amazing Pesto Salad is in there!

Watching a wonderful slide show that Cami and Mike made for my parents
Here's a link to the slide show:

We went to the Temple to take Family pictures Sunday morning

Hanging out at Eugene's house Sunday night

We got to show off our new tie dyed t-shirts for everyone at the legends

And then it was over... :(  It was great to have most of my family all together and we had a lot of fun!

40th Bday Party
I was honored to be able to host a surprise 40th birthday party for my dear friend, Sheri.  It was so fun!

School Lunch
A few weeks after school starts each year I can't wait to have lunch with the kiddo's to get to know the kids in their classes a little more and see the classroom dynamics!

Lunch at school with Whitney

Lunch with Aiden
Parents are discouraged to have lunch with the middle schoolers... so I had to take Connor and a couple of his friends to Banana Island after school instead
New York Cates
We enjoyed our annual visit with the Cates from New York - Cory and Kari Jo and Family!

Jeremy went to Vegas for his 20th Maverik Reunion so we had a little party of our own!

Anna

Anna's last night here.  We lit these lanterns in honor of her Grandma who passed away while Anna was staying with us.

Good bye Anna (see you soon)!!  We will miss you!!!
