W30 of Y4

While I was in Belgium all week, Jeremy did a great job "holding down the fort"!

He took all the scouts (and siblings) fishing to earn their fishing merit badge.

Those are some pretty big fish!
 Father and Son Campout

Then he hosted a Father and Son Campout at our home.  The boys made fish tinfoil dinners to cook on the fire.

Honk, Jr. Continued....

Whitney had a few more Honk, Jr. performances while I was gone.

She had a little help in the dressing room! :)

In the meantime, I didn't take any pictures all week!  But I did become a certified EEO counselor.

Instead of flying back to Italy, I flew into Frankfurt so I could drive our van home that was stranded there from last weekend.
I also got to see my very good friend while I was there and enjoyed this delicious meal!!!

Final Show

I made it back in time for the last performance of Honk, Jr.

The cast getting the final notes from the director before curtain call

I even got to hang out backstage to help out during the show!

Whitney checking out her make up! lol!

It's over!!!  All the kids did so good!

She's always got to throw a back bend in there!

The traditional final show potluck
 Mother's Day

After being gone all week I couldn't imagine a better Mother's Day than just being able to be home with my babies!!!
However, Whitney managed to put it over the top with her hilarious cards to me...

Opening Night

Finally... Opening night arrived!!
Whitney wasn't even nervous.

Such a stinker!  I am sitting RIGHT in front of her and she won't look at me for a picture!!

She did WONDERFUL!!!!

Whitney with a couple of her favorite cast mates
It's that time of year....

Jeremy loves to make everything outside pretty!
He got up early on Saturday and planted flowers all around our house.  Then he planted tomatoes and basil.
I'm so grateful for his green thumb and eye for beauty!

Cinco De Mayo!!

After all the yard work was done we went to a Cinqo De Mayo Party with people who I work with.  Fun Times!! :)

Brussels, Belgium

I had to leave early Sunday morning to attend a training in Brussels for work.

Honor Roll

Aiden made the Principal's Honor Roll for getting all A's again 3rd quarter!

The number of kids at this level gets smaller and smaller every quarter.  We sure are proud of you Aiden!
NJHS

Aiden has been in the National Junior Honor Society this year and was recognized for serving on the executive board and for his community service hours.  This week he got to participate in the induction of new students for next year.

Trying really hard to look unenthused!

Toppers

Jeremy left early Friday morning to drive to Germany for the Toppers Award Ceremony for Soldier's Theater.  Sometimes I think he's only in shows at the theater so he can go to this event.  It's really a big deal and he has a lot of fun with his fellow thespians!
6 of them piled into our van for the 10 hour drive.  At first it was all smiles.....
... and then...  our van got a flat tire!  They had to switch it out for the spare on the autobahn.

Meanwhile... I was enjoying chocolate chip pancakes made by this little sweetie while enjoying an absolutely beautiful morning on the terrace.
Game #2

This weekend we played Aviano in Vicenza

Warming up

Hard game!  I didn't get ANY pictures during the entire game.  I was so  into watching them play.  2 of the pitchers were injured so it was rough.
But, Aiden got some GREAT hits, plays, and runs in so he was happy!
Villa Sceriman

This time of year the wisteria is is everywhere but I have never seen so much all in one place.  It was beautiful!
It's really so sad that it will only last a few weeks.

You could tell by the size of these branches that some of these trees were really old!

Absolutely love these dear friends!

This sweet dog pushed his body up agains the fence so the girls could pet it
Love the little one twirling in front of the girls as they posed for pictures

They had to do it! lol!
These two thought they were so fancy!
We stopped at a little park on our way to the car and these girls had the ride of their lives!

Toppers Cont...

So, what was Jeremy doing while we were frolicking in the wisteria???

...WINNING!!!!  He won his first Topper award!  Best Supporting Actor!

Overall, Vicenza did very well winning 5 awards in all!  AMAZING!!!
I love the directors smile in this picture!

Jeremy ended up having to take the train home from Germany and leaving our van there.
Not sure when we'll ever see her again.... :(
