 Beautiful Fall bike ride!

We went a little over 20 miles on this beautiful ride with a gorgeous destination. It was not my favorite ride so far (too much traffic) but it was one of the most beautiful!

So grateful that Jeremy scouts out good rides for us during the week so we can enjoy this beautiful country on the weekends together!

All bike rides must include a stop for cappuccino!

 Week 1

The first week of Year 7 started off pretty good!  We took advantage of the long weekend (Columbus Day) and got out of town for a couple days.

Levico Terme, Italy

Less than a couple of hours from our house and we were in this cute mountain village.  Jeremy booked a room at a gorgeous hotel.  COVID has reduced the number of tourists everywhere and restricts interactions with people.... as a result it seemed like we were the only ones at this gorgeous hotel making it a little more creepy than anything else!  We could only think of The Shining while we were there!

We finally saw other human beings when we got to the restaurant!

Our meal was delicious!

The next morning the sun was out, the rain had stopped, and everything seemed a little less creepy

Parco Natura Viva

We took the kids to a Safari Park and Zoo near Verona.  I actually don't know why this is the first time that we have ever been there.  It was great!

This one actually made me a little nervous

Aiden really, really, really wanted to touch one!

W52 of Y6

The last week of Year 6 was fairly uneventful.  Just every day life.....

It started off with this beautiful sunrise!

I also loved this view of the church in our town

A friend of mine brought me some homemade Thai food that Jeremy and I ate in my office!

Aiden got a short driving lesson

And I got evidence that Connor's still alive!

This week's bike ride was gorgeous!  My favorite so far.

The little cafe we found was pretty great too!

Happy Birthday Aiden!!!

We finally upgraded his weight set!

We love you Aiden!!!  May this next year go by slower than the last 17!

Organization Day

Our office had an Org Day at a beautiful restaurant with excellent food!

I finally got to stomp grapes!!

Kayla
Without any warning, Kayla is gone.

I woke up early and sat outside while it was still dark.  I was surprised to see Kayla just standing in the middle of the lawn.  Not moving, just standing.  Normally she is curled up in a ball somewhere sleeping when I get up.  I noticed her a few more times that day, just standing.  I mentioned it to Jeremy and he was keeping an eye of her while I was gone doing Saturday chores.

Jeremy noticed her just standing too and then he saw her laying down and not moving.  He went closer to her and noticed she was covered in flys and would not get up.  He carried her into the garage to get all the flys off of her and then took her to an animal hospital.

They gave her some IV fluids and sugar water which seemed to have given her a burst of energy.  She was acting normal again and Jeremy called me to say he was bringing her home after her labs came back.  An hour or so later he texted me to say she wasn't going to make it and they were putting her to sleep.  It was all so surreal!  Had we known it was that bad, the kids and I would have gone up there to say goodbye!

The last picture we have of her.

We will miss you Kayla........
