4th of July Fun!!
The 4th of July is a great time to hit up some places that you usually avoid because it's so crowded. Since it's a normal work day for the Italians but we get it off, we don't have to fight the crowds!
This year that place was PADOVALAND!!
| We brought a couple of the boys friends with us |
| Not sure if the boys or Jeremy are having more fun on this thing!!! |
| They finally knocked Jeremy down!! |
| Getting ready to go back up! |
| The wave pool |
| Whitney and and I did our own thing |
Fireworks
| After swimming all day we got cleaned up and went on post in time to get a spot to watch the fireworks |
| Never too old! Whitney still loves the swings! :) |
| The boys played football all night... literally ALL night until the fireworks started!! |
| Different bands came and played all day/night long |
After living here for almost 3 years, it seems like we know everyone on post so we ran into all of our friends. However, this one is special!
This is Whitney's absolute favorite Camp Counselor this summer - Ms. Sam! |
| I also had to get a picture of these 2. They were best friends this past school year! |
| Getting ready for the fireworks. It is always VERY crowded for the 4th of July festivities on post. This is the one day/year that the post opens their gates to allow local Italians to come in and celebrate with the Americans. If I had to guess, I would say there were 75% Italians here this year and 25% Americans! |
| Cotton Candy and Fireworks! No one could ever accuse this girl of not living the American Dream!! |
The Army base here ALWAY does an excellent firework display!
It is always more emotional for me to celebrate America's Independence while living in a foreign country.
This year was no exception. It was a beautiful day!
