CR2I Training
Over the last year I haven't posted about my work drama.
I have worked as a Health Promotion Officer for the Army for 3 years in Germany and almost 3 years now in Italy. This position has been on the chopping block for the last year and was finally given the last push and ended. The same exact job, but now as an official Federal Government position, has been retitled to Community Readiness and Resilience Integrator. I had to apply and compete against current Federal Government employees world wide.
Long story short... I got it! The transition officially takes place August 21 but this week we had a week long training for all the new CR2Is across Europe in the most beautiful place on earth:
Garmisch, Germany!

| I have traveled all over Europe and the USA and have yet to find a place more beautiful than Garmisch. I love it here! |

USA
The long-awaited trip to the USA after being gone for 3 years is finally here!!! So much planning and coordinating has gone into this trip. So many nerves that everything goes as planned and we are able to make the most of every minute spent with family and friends!

| Already our first hiccup... somehow my suitcase didn't make it. We loaded everything into the shuttle but assuming someone took it out to rearrange luggage below and forgot to put mine back in. So, here we go... off to the USA with only the clothes on my back and whatever is in my purse! This is going to be fun!!! |

| Our first stop was Grandma and Grandpa Cates house. Sheri had a delicious dinner waiting for us and we got to celebrate my birthday! |

| The next morning we started our road trip to Table Rock Lake but had to stop at this cheese store which was amazing! (Of course, this was after stopping to buy a few essentials to get me through the next few days) |

| It was so fun getting reacquainted with all the cousins. Especially the little ones who can actually have conversations with us now! The boys just fell in love with Erin and Jordyn! |

| Grandma and Grandpa rented a boat for us to use for the entire day on the lake. The kids were so excited!! |

| The BEST part of jet lag is waking up super early before anyone else! It's my favorite part! I thoroughly enjoyed going on morning walks. I was even able to talk Jeremy into going with me. He was not loving these huge hills though! But he went anyways because he loves me! |
