W10 of Y6

South East Asia..... here we come!

Jeremy has been working to make this cruise happen for the past year and it's finally here!
This was seriously a trip of a lifetime!

The flights were WAY longer than I expected.  9 hours to Beijing and then another 6 hours to Singapore with a 7 hour time difference.

Funky airplane food on Air China.

Stop over in Beijing.... too bad we were all waaaaay to tired to do anything but lay in these chairs and sleep for about 4 hours!

Finally landing in Singapore

I accidentally smuggled gum into Singapore!
Waiting for our luggage.  Air China only lost one (mine....).

The view from our amazing hotel

Food hawkers across the street from our hotel

These guys had a portable speaker on the table and were having a really good time.  Until we ordered food and then she got up to cook for us.

This looked so yummy... and it was, until.....
... until we got to the bottom and it turned into a nightmare!
Underneath the sweet, icy goodness on top the bowl was full of corn, red beans, and some weird black gelatinous concoction.

Our hotel had a wonderful breakfast buffet.  Aiden's plate is like a double story of my plate. lol!

The infinity pool on the roof was wonderful with the best views of the city!!

We saw trucks with passengers like this all over Singapore

We had an entire day to kill so we went to Singapore Zoo, rated the best zoo in Asia and #4 in the world!

They sell water in cardboard cartons

Singapore Zoo is known for it's open atmosphere.  There were monkeys and other animals all over trees and sidewalks.

It was so hot (90s) and humid.... this water park was so inviting!

There was a loud speaker playing "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" in the background while Whitney was running through the water park.  It certainly did not feel like Christmas time here!

Arab street for dinner

Finally!!!!  Time to board the ship!

I know... a picture of a picture. How tacky! lol!

Kids room

First item of business..... pool time!

The whole ship was decorated beautifully for Christmas!  And Christmas music played non-stop through out the entire ship.
Day 1: At Sea
Our first morning on the ship started out with a ping pong tournament for Connor

The boys really liked teen club on this ship.

Sometimes the only way I saw the boys was to follow them around with the other teenagers

Oh, the food....  this ship had way more eating options and opportunities than cruises we've done in the past.

The shows were a fun nightly routine

Next Week: Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam
