Gingerbread Cookies

We made gingerbread cookies for Family Home Evening this week. This is always a favorite holiday tradition for the kids.

Jeremy really had to work hard to create this masterpiece

It looks more like a crime scene to me... but the boys were so proud of their creation!!

American Forces Network

Scouts this week went to the radio/TV station to see how it worked.

They liked bugging the guy while he was on the air trying to make him mess up!

They got to record a LIVE 'shout out' on the air!

Class Christmas Party

Aiden's class invited the parents to a Christmas party this week. It's always so much fun to see the kids with all of their friends.

Later that night both of the boys classes performed at the Christmas Concert.

Church Christmas Party

We were all in a play. The boys were trees, Whitney was a mushroom and I was an old goat. Sorry... I didn't have any pics of me to put in here. (darn!)

After the play the kinder treated us all to some Christmas carols (in deutsch).

St. Nickolaus showed up with presents for all the good little boys and girls

We love the Missionaries!!!

Sledding!!!

We went to Weinheim for sledding again this year. The boys have been begging to go ever since the first snowfall but it wasn't good for sledding yet. We waited for the perfect day for sledding and today was the day...

...even though Whitney cried the whole way. She HATES getting bundled up and wearing layers. She was a MESS for a good 45 minutes until we finally got there.

Then she was SOOOOOO Happy!!! LOL!

Such a fun day!!!

Santa visited the boys at scouts this week. All 3 of them got to sit on his lap.
What did they each ask for?

"A bucket full of dollars and euros"

"A massaging chair"

"just chocolate"

I had to throw in a pic of my 2 tiger cubs with matching sweatshirts!

After Santa left they got to make (and eat) sugar cookies!!

This weekend was the Winter Fair at the boys school.

I had to laugh at Aiden for repeatedly doing the cake walk... he STILL has never won but never gives up. It reminded me of an earlier blog post.

He did, however, get plenty of junk with all the other games and especially loved the dangling donuts!!

Whitney just wanted to get her face painted

Connor, and most of his other class mates, hung out at the Grade 3 booth where they got to throw pies (AKA: pie tins filled with whipped cream) at their teachers face.

He was such a good sport but it was COLD out there! I volunteered to work at the booth for the second hour and my hands were burning they were so cold just from touching the whipped cream. I can't imagine how bad his face must have hurt! He had whipped cream all down his shirt and even squishing around in his shoes. He was smiling the whole time though.

Sooooo appropriate!!

The rest of the weekend plans were pretty much ruined because Whitney had a fever all weekend and a terrible cough. I wanted to go to some Christmas markets but didn't want to take her out in the cold. So, we all stayed home and relaxed this weekend. It was actually kind of nice.

We did treat ourselves and all went to see Tangled. Great movie!

This week was all about the snow! It snowed a little just about every day. Aiden especially wanted to go play in the snow every day.

We enjoyed a Christmas Concert on base while we waited to see Santa!!

Annual Gingerbread Houses!!

St. Nikolaus Day!!

Yes, St. Nick came to visit us again this year. Such a fun tradition. I hope he'll continue to visit even after we move back to the U.S.

My little cuties all ready for church!

Connor teaching our cute little friends, Simon & Lasser, how to play the piano at church.
