Daddy Daughter Dance
The Elementary school had a Daddy Daughter Dance around Valentines Day.  For Whitney and her friends, this was very serious!  It was so fun getting her ready and hearing all about the dance.  I wish I could have been there!

Jeremy bought her a bracelet for the special occasion

Random picture of Whitney ...  I love her!

Daddy celebrating his birthday by letting the kids pile on top of him

Whitney's first sleep over... that suitcase is packed FULL!
Mother and Son Shootout
Since the girls got to do the dance with their Dads, the Moms got to shoot basketballs with their sons.  I loved spending the night with Aiden and his little buddies!

Aiden won an oversized Dick's bag in the raffle... and was a little excited about it!

My Home Dietitian
Jeremy and I started our own business.  He manages the website and promotes our services.  I had the opportunity this month to also do a cooking demonstration for heart health on the local news station here in Kansas City (KC Live).  This was such a fun experience!

January 2014

January came and went so fast I barely noticed!  I know we were super busy but I only had a few pictures on my phone, camera, etc... by the end of the month.

Connor's Birthday Party
Connor celebrated his birthday with his friends a few days after his birthday so we could do it on the weekend.  He wanted to spend the night at a hotel with a swimming pool and a breakfast buffet, so that's what we did...

Not sure why they all decided to sleep like this but it looks very uncomfortable! lol!
Happy 14th Anniversary!!
Our anniversary was pretty uneventful this year.  It's always hard being right after Christmas and then Connor's birthday.  By the time our Anniversary gets here, Jeremy and I are pretty much all celebrated out (and broke!) !!  Jeremy was sweet and bought me these beautiful flowers.  I think we may have even got out to eat the weekend before... but that doesn't really count.  Next year is our 15th so we better start planning something now!

Report Cards
I took Aiden out for a treat for getting all A's on his report card!!  Jeremy took Connor out for getting all A's and B's but I wasn't there so I don't have a picture.  Good job Boys!!

Movie Night
The kid's school hosted a movie night in the school gym.  They had a giant screen showing Despicable Me 2 and a popcorn machine.  I couldn't believe how many kids were in there and that it was total mass chaos!!  It was actually really fun!

Aiden and Whitney are in there somewhere!

Whitney had a set back this month.  She has been having multiple Urinary Tract Infections since September.  This one was especially bad so we had to go to Children's Mercy.  The Urologist is worried that her VUR has come back.  We still don't know anything but will find out more soon.

December 2013

Back from vacation

We dropped Jeremy off at the Louisville airport to go to Atlanta for 2 weeks for work.  The kids and I had a fun ride home from Kentucky.  We were greeted by this little surprise when we got home to get us in the Christmas spirit!

Our first weekend back we had to have a massive sleepover!  Each one of the kids got to have a friend over.  Total chaos... yes!  But I love it!!

Aiden even got 2 friends :)

The next morning the boys wanted to go play outside but it was freakishly cold!!!

Whitney made breakfast for everyone

Warming their feet by the fire and watching Christmas movies

Hot Chocolate... of course!
Gingerbread Houses
Lots of candy and lots of friends to make gingerbread houses with this year!!

Connor's Christmas Concert
They looked so nice in all black and white

Christmas Cookies

Our little Elf set up a fun little Christmas Cookie decorating party for the kids when they got home from school!!!

Aiden's Christmas Concert

I love it that Aiden is looking right at me, and smiling!

Whitney sat by her BFF during the concert

Connor acting too cool with the 6th graders

Connor wanted to look around the school after the concert.  He was feeling a little sentimental being back in his old school.
Heritage Project
Connor's big project this year for one of his classes was the heritage project.  He had to research his ancestors and write about their lives and journey coming to America.  For the first time in my life I was so grateful for my Mom's undying passion to do genealogy!  Thanks for your help Mom!

Connor told me the night before that he needed to wear Lederhosen.  I drove all over some very questionable areas to find these and then Connor refused to wear them!  Grrrr....  Apparently the bratwurst and senf was a hit though!

Good job Connor!
Christmas Parties
The last day of school before Christmas break was just a big party!  I organized the games for Aiden and Whitney's classes this year but Whitney's class kept me so busy I never got to watch Aiden's class playing the games

One of the games... they had to draw a snowman with the plate on top of their heads so they couldn't see

Game #2:  2 words: Vaseline and Cottonballs.

Football
We had a random really nice, warm day after the Christmas parties at school so we pulled together enough kids for a really fun, spontaneous football game behind our house.

Christmas Eve
This year we tried something new.  We went out to dinner on the Plaza for Christmas Eve.  This is one holiday tradition that I hope sticks!!!  I loved it!

Tired Santa
Christmas Morning

The big gift under the tree that was driving the kids crazy for the last 3 weeks!

As soon as Connor saw it was an Xbox One he had to run out of the room

Aiden had to leave next and poor Whitney didn't really get what the big deal was

The boys came back in to see if it really was for real

From Santa!  When all the snow melts we'll put this in the backyard.  :)

We were invited to Eugene's house for Dinner .  The boys were seriously impressed with his Madden skills!

Christmas Break FUN!

The boys went to her house and she came to ours so we got to do fun, girl stuff all night!!

Jeremy's good friends were in town and made a little time to get together for a Chiefs game!

Such a fun group  of kids!!
Connor's Birthday
Having his birthday on New Year's Eve is always a challenge!  His party is going to be on Friday so today was just for his family!

Waking up to Birthday donuts!
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty after a fun day of shopping to spend birthday money and gift cards!!!

One of his gift cards was to Applebees so we all went there for dinner.  Connor was so excited to not be allowed a kids menu anymore and got to order whatever he wanted off the adult menu. Of course he got an 9oz Steak!?!

Trying to stay up until Midnight!
