W24 of Y3

Rothenburg ob der Tauber

This is a well-preserved medieval old town. We've been wanting to visit for a long time but finally got our chance over the weekend. Even the boys were impressed with this place. They are so tired of touring new cities, castles, museums, etc... However, this place was definitely unique!

The entrance to the city. The wall goes all the way around the town.

Eating some strawberries and apples from the local farmers market.

These looked better than they tasted.

I wanted to get Whitney a Dirndl, but Jeremy said no. :(

She would outgrow it in 6 months. But it would be so darn cute!

The Criminal Museum - The highlight of the day for the boys!

The Iron Maiden - each circle is a knife on the inside used to kill a married woman accused of flirting with other men

Just one of the HUNDREDS of tools used for torture for various crimes. Some of them were kind of funny... like the tongue screw!

The executioner's mask

The cage where people were paraded in for humiliation for minor crimes

City square - where the public humiliations and executions took place

The famous Christmas store

Taking a break

Appreciating art at its finest... yes, those are baby dolls stuffed inside panty hose

Great Day!
