Italian Red Cross
For Student Council, Whitney collected donation for some refugees in Vicenza. They did a socks and snacks drive. Apparently, the refugees (most are from Africa) arrive to Italy not knowing what socks are! It has been very cold here with highs only in the 30s. We were happy to at least be able to provide warm socks to them!
American vs Italian basketball game
Aiden's coach organized a friendly basketball game with a local Italian team with kids around the same ages. The Italian teams play basketball year round with the same kids every year. This definitely gives them an advantage! We got killed but it was a great experience for the boys!
