Happy Birthday!

Well, I never even saw Jeremy on his birthday to even take a pic.  But... since he went to Colombia for his bday I thought it was only appropriate to post a pic of him on his trip! :)  For his birthday he got to be Jetlagged and miserable as he jumped right back into work, play rehearsals, kids, etc... But, he knew that going in so no one should feel sorry for him! 

I hope your birthday trip was amazing!!

Siberian Cold Blast

All of Europe has experienced freezing cold temperatures and lots of snow this week.  Including southern Italy (Naples, Rome, etc...).  It is quite unusual for this area but the kids were NOT complaining!

They kind of got cheated out of a couple of good snow days though.  They didn't have school on Thursday or Friday for parent teacher conferences but would not have had school anyway because of the snow.  Oh well! 

So happy to have everyone back together again finally!  Friday nights are the best.... Family Pizza Movie night! 
My new favorite pizza: Rucula e Grana!  YUM!!!  

Once Upon A Mattress

Jeremy has spent every free moment rehearsing for this musical over the past 3 months and it's FINALLY opening night!!  He made us wait for the second night show because he was extra nervous about the first night.  He felt extremely unprepared because he missed more than a week of rehearsals while he was in Colombia.  Then the night before opening night they had to cancel the most important rehearsal of them all because of the snow.  THEN...  about 5 hours before show time he threw his back out!  He was in so much pain that he had to take one of this very powerful muscle relaxers just so he could perform but they made him feel nauseous and loopy.  So, needless to say, he was extremely nervous about opening night and asked that the kids and I did not go.  BUT.... we got to go for the second night and IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!!  Jeremy did such a great job and we were all so proud of him!!  These musicals are such a huge time commitment that takes him away from all of his other commitments and causes a great amount of stress to him and to everyone who has to pick up the slack for him during the rehearsals.  However, as soon as you see a performance you instantly feel  like it was all worth it!  I can't believe how extremely talented he is and what a great job he has done for this theater for over 3 years now!  

He opens the entire show with a solo!  He nailed it!
