Yard Work

Remember this picture?

This was one of the first pictures I put on my blog in April. This is what are yard looked like when we moved in. Well... actually there was a chain-linked fence covered with bushes going right down the center of the yard (where the long line of dirt is). And there was a huge tree where the BIG pile of mulch is.

Jeremy has been working on the yard non-stop for the past few months. I would actually get mad at him for working on the yard TOO much. He kept saying he had to get it done before it got too cold so the grass would grow.

Well, it has definitely paid off. I wish I would have taken more "before" pictures so you can really see the difference. It looks so good now and I can actually let the kids go out and play without them getting all muddy.

This is what it looks like now.....

GOOD JOB JER!!!

Poor Whitney! 17 months old (yesterday) and still gets mistaken for a boy regularly. Well, I was able to pull enough hair together today to make a pony tail.

Don't you just love Karma?

BEFORE THE SQUIRREL

AFTER THE SQUIRREL

THE SQUIRREL!!!!

Neurotic?

Connor had a sleep over with his friend Kaden last night. He was so excited for the sleep over that he came into our room the night before and walked up to the bed... I thought he was going to say he had a bad dream or something.... but instead he started dancing and singing "Sleep over day, oh yeah, today is the sleep over, uh-huh!" It was 3am and he wanted to get in the shower to start getting ready for school.

(Whitney's pigging out!!!)

Is it just me or do sleepovers at this age freak anyone else out? I seem to be alone in my neurotic thinking... even Jeremy thinks it's ok. Kaden's Mom actually called to have Connor over for a sleepover but I told her I couldn't do it and that Kaden could come to our house instead. She had no problem with it. It must be me... but I don't think I'm going to get over it for a long time. Sorry kids!

I took the kids to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Whitney was very interested in this movie ad for Ice Age 3. A little scared but couldn't stay away either. lol! Notice she refuses to take her eyes off the dinosaur even for the picture.

Pumpkins!

We carved our pumpkins today. The boys drew what they wanted their pumpkins to look like on a piece of paper and Jeremy and I did the cutting. They turned out pretty good.
(Kayla wanted to get in the pic too. lol! Look in the door.)

Uncle Johnny

Uncle Johnny came to visit from Texas over the "holiday" weekend.
(That was Columbus Day for those of you who ARE NOT Government employees.)

I had to take a pic of these Awesome Cinnamon-rolls I made for the boys before a big day of shooting guns. They were soooo good.

Here are the trouble makers playing cowboys in the woods. lol!

Don't they look tough?

Johnny insisted on treating the kids to Chuck E Cheese. I think he regretted it after we got there though. It was SO crowded! The noise from the kids, bright flashing lights, giant mice... I think it was all a little too much for the single bachelor. He found a happy place and stayed put. The kids LOVED it though!!! They thought Johnny was better than Chuck himself.

We had an early Christmas while he was here. He bought the kids these CUTE clothes!

Thank You Uncle Johnny!!!

Softball

Jeremy is on a softball team that plays Friday nights. His games are always really late, they don't usually START playing until 8:30 so we have never gone to a game. Friday night they started at 6:30 because they were playing 4 games that night! So, we went to the first couple.

Jer in action!!

Isn't he cute?

The kids had fun too....

Here's a video of Whitney playing in the sand. I haven't figured out how to master editing video's on the Mac yet. This is kind of just a "practice" video.
