Redbeard 2008

We went camping over Memorial weekend at Redbeard outside of Lebanon, Missouri. The day we left it rained all day with scattered thunderstorms. The same weather was forcasted for the entire weekend. But, we knew we'd be ok because Jeremy is the master camper!!! We went for 3 nights and only had rain once. It was such a great experience. It was a lot of work but we made some great memories.

Here are a few things that we will never forget:
  • the locked gate at 8:00pm
  • burns on face from burnt marshmellows
  • burns on noses from smelling sticks that were on fire
  • eating apples in the creek
  • 8 foot long snake
  • ticks!!!
  • fishing with Daddy
  • swimming/peeing in the river
  • looking and catching frogs
  • crammed in the van
  • awesome dinners (especially the pork ribs, pineapple upside down cake, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, glup, kabobs)
  • The mud slide
  • watching movies in the tent
  • canoeing
  • watching the thunderstorm from our dry shelter at 6:30am
